Don’t slam brakes. Grip steering wheel firmly with both hands. The vehicle will pull strongly toward the blown tire side.
Gradually reduce speed. Let the vehicle slow naturally to 20-25 mph before braking gently.
Keep wheels straight until slowed. Then signal and steer slowly to the shoulder or emergency lane.
Turn on hazard lights. Exit vehicle away from traffic. Stand behind guardrail if available.
